A side-view mirror (or side mirror), also known as a wing mirror, is a mirror placed on the exterior of motor vehicles for the purposes of helping the driver see areas behind and to the sides of the vehicle, outside the driver’s peripheral vision (in the “blind spot”).
Why do cars still have side mirrors?

How do you fold in side mirrors?
When you are heading into a narrow parking space or garage, press the “fold” button in the upper right corner of the side mirror controls, just to the left of the steering column. Both mirrors will fold in toward the side windows. To put them back into driving position, press the button again.
